This is a pretty interesting poster. In fact a recent inspection brought even more information forward. This is a 1940 Wendell Willkie coattail post from the state of Maryland. It features Willkie, McNary, and Harry Nice for Senate. At the bottom are the Republican candidates for Congress including baseball hall of famer Walter "big Train" Johnson. The ribbon that says "No Third Term" is paper, which I thought someone had added across the poster. Actually, the entire bottom of the poster is added on, and the "no third term" seems to be tape that is holding it together. The bottom portion says it was authorized by Harry Nice. Perhaps there was a different button used before there was a presidential or congressional nominees and it was changed out to include the nominees. It's a very cool patriotic poster with a lot going for it. The size reinforces its irregularity. It's 14x27(ish). Will ship rolled via first class mail.
