Elegant 7" diameter blue jasper Wedgwood plate, originally sold as an ashtray, has a beautifully detailed profile portrait of Queen Elizabeth II, in her jubilee year, and is signed on the reverse by John Wedgwood, the ancestor of Josiah Wedgwood, founder of the centuries old company. Signed in black crayon, "John Wedgwood, 11-11-76", a banner under the Queen's portrait reads "HM Queen Elizabeth II", and "Wedgwood Made in England". A keepsake packed away for many years, the ashtray/plate is in excellent never used condition, and would make a wonderful addition to a royal collection.
