This is an auction a set of eleven vintage bread plates by Wedgwood in the Florentine turquoise pattern. Back-stamped with the older brown Wedgwood urn mark (1940s-50s). The plates are 6" wide. All are in very good shiny condition, they appear to have had little or no use. No chips, cracks, or hairlines, minor occasional wear to the black band rims. The timeless Florentine turquoise pattern was first introduced in 1931 & still continues today. The wide turquoise band features mythical griffons or dragons interspersed with vines & flowers. The center is embellished with a colorful fruit medallion on a background of white bone china. We will be listing more vintages pieces in this pattern (plates, soup cups). We will combine winning auctions when possible, however, due to the fragility of some pieces, we may have to ship some items separately. Please ask if you have any questions about combining. All measurements are approximate.
