Allegro was a completely redesigned cookware collection by Mirro Wear/ever sold in the late 1990's. It was designed as a solution to the problems people have faced with more traditional cookware designs, such as pouring, straining, storage and clean-up. The standard round bottom flares to an unusual square shaped top, and with cool easy grip handles set on opposite corners, it makes a natural pour spout. The lid is recessed, with an adjustable steam vent, providing a boil-over well, holding up to 1 1/2 cup liquid in the lid. The steam vent opens to make the lid into a strainer--no more lost food in the sink.The dishwasher safe nonstick coating is strong enough to use metal utensils without scratching. It is made of heavy gauge metal. Including the handles and knob corners, the pan's overall measurements are 22½ " x 14½". This 12" covered saute pan was never used. It does however, have some minor scratches from moves since it was stored with other cookware. It comes with the care and use booklet which is pictured.It is a rare collector's piece worthy of the finest cookware collections. No other cookware is comparable to this piece with its highly unusual shape and design.
