Farrington, who was born in Caldwell, NJ, and worked in the NY/NJ areas during the first half of the 20th century - very well executed, and in excellent condition.Rachel Farrington (1915-1990) was a well-regarded painter known for her watercolors of flowers and historic scenes of the Caldwell area in NJ USA. From 1971-72, she served as the President of the Essex Watercolor Club and was also an art teacher in west Essex County. She was also an active historic preservationist and a founding member of the Historical Society of West Caldwell. In 1976, she served as a member of the Bicentennial Committee of Caldwell-West Caldwell and created a series of prints of historic locations that were used to commemorate the Diamond Jubilee of West Caldwell in 1979.
