Wonderful walnut halltree with white marble and one working drawer for the storage of your gloves. The top of the halltree is gorgeous with it's pierced carving and with a great pediment at the top followed by applied buttons and small turned knobs, and it's large trim that separates the crest from the main piece. In the top center is a cross-like carving with a coat hook in the center flanked by burled strips with coats hooks to the right and left of the trim, following down are to vertical burled strips ending at two more coat hooks, with two other coat hooks towards the center section at the outer edges of the piece, with a large mirror in the center. Below the mirror is a shield that has burl facing that really adds to the look. White marble sets atop a drawer with two small burl strips and a black lacquered knob, while to the left and right of the piece are your two umbrella holders, that curve so as to not let the umrellas slip out. Under the center drawer are two support arms with turned knobs that connect into your turned center post with finials hanging down. At the bottom are two original drip pans that will hold any water that may have come off of your wet umbrellas. Original Finish Circa 1870's
