with poplar secondary wood. Upper case dovetailed, with moulded breadboard lid, and interior lidded till. Lower case with 2 thumb-moulded drawers with inlaid escutcheons, and sitting on bracket feet. Retains its original hinges and locks (lid hasp off but present), period Hepplewhite brasses, and a fine, old finish. American, late 18th or early 19th century; 32.35" high x 50" wide x 24.25" deep. > From the Estate of John Auraden of Hamilton & Fairhaven, Ohio. > Condition: As above, with small age crack to the lid, backboard warped causing minor separation to upper dovetails, castors are a later addition; still VG.
