From the Andrews Estate Collection comes this Vintage Set of 6 Porzellanfabrik Arzberg Bayern 7" China Plates . Fruit Decor. Made in Germany. Hand painted and signed by deceased American Artist, James Bruce Andrews. Bruce Andrews was a professional artist, collector and WWII veteran. After the war, Bruce and his wife Anita opened the Art China Gift Shop on the Atlantic City Boardwalk where he sold his original works and fine artwares. They ran the shop for over 30 years until the casino industry took over that area in the late 70's. Bruce and Anita had no choice but to relocate, opening two more shops. They were in business for a total of 50 years before retiring in the mid 90's. Bruce has left behind an amassment of his own work, including several unique European porcelain pieces, hand painted and signed. I am listing much of his work on Ebay. Proceeds will benefit the United Methodist Nursing Home in Ocean City, NJ. Excellent condition. No cracks, chips, scratches or crazing. The gold paint has age related wear and light scuffs. The fruit portions of the paintings are near mint. Each plate is 7" in diameter and weighs 8oz. 4 plates are marked "Porzellanfabrik Arzberg Bayern", 2 are marked "Arzberg" See large pics.
