Up for your consideration is a Kerr Economy lid and spring for use on Kerr glass jars. This is new, neither the spring or the lid have been used. There is some scuffing on the lid where it was kept in a drawer. The spring is in excellent shape, no rust marks or twisted areas. The lid fits a wide-mouth jar. Economy caps as they were called, were made for the Kerr Glass MFG Corporation in Sand Springs, Oklahoma. The box description reads: Economy caps, gold lacquered, with sealing composition flowed in, provide more protection for home canned foods. This cap (lid) was originally in a box that was 35 cents for a box of 12 at the time it was purchased. These are getting hard to find.
