For your consideration is a graceful art deco pair of deer from California Pottery Company HALLFIELDS . (I read that Hallfields was in business in the 1950's.) " The California manufacturer Hallfield Pottery was founded by Bill Fields and James Hall, and is known for the high quality art pottery they produced in the 1950s" This figurine is dated 1952 and is 8 1/2" tall. I don't know how to describe the beauty of this old piece of pottery and the nice feel it has. The Mama Deer is looking so affectionately at the young baby next to her side. There are pretty soft colors as you can see in the pictures. The figurine was made in two pieces with the baby being glued in place next to her mom. I can see a little of the glue that glued that piece onto the big piece. I couldn't find another one of these figurines online so I am guessing this to be a rare item since they were in business such a short time. Thank you for looking.
