DESCRIPTIONVtg Cotton Full Feedsack Fab Children Playing Silhouettes on Jade Green-38x43This is the most fabulous feedsack I have had in a long time. It is a nice early sack from the 30s/40s with a design of children playing in rectangular cameo silhouettes of dark chocolate brown and white on a jade green diagonal gingham background. I gave it a gentle soak but did not do any stain treatment as fabrics from this period do not generally have the level of colorfastness that new fabrics have. It is in good to very good condition with no holes and good color. It does have one line of tan storage stain in the middle that goes from selvage to selvage (see photo) and one other area where there is a smaller line similar to this. I would estimate at least 70% of this is without any issue. It measures 38" wide by 43" long with hardly any sign of having been a feedsack.I sometimes list vintage quilting fabric and feedsacks. All of these textiles are vintage, not new reproductions, primarily from estates. When listing these fabrics I use the term "feedsack" generically as they could have been flour sacks, feed sacks, sugar sacks, etc. I measure conservatively but please keep in mind that these sacks will usually have needle holes along the edges.
