Up for your consideration is a vintage 1960s TootsieToy Racing "Special Monza Power 8" # 5150 slot car racing set set. It comes with two cars (both Falcons?), 6 pieces of track, the power pack, two controllers, the original box and whats left of two half pages of the instructions. It is untested so I can't tell you what parts work or not. The cars have two posts per car to stay on the slot of the track.Condition issues:Besides being untested, there are a couple of missing pieces. The overpass supports to make the bridge are missing and the clips to attach the track pieces are missing also. The box is in rough condition with all the corners broken through and there is some writing on the front. (The kid named Chris who had it wrote his name on it) One of the cars has the copper conductor piece missing. One has a racing stripe sticker and one doesn't, I'm not sure which is original. The box that goes over the power pack is missing and the whole unit is discolored from age which might able to cleaned or maybe it's sun damage which won't clean up.The sticker on the box says it uses a 6 volt battery to power the unit. The power pack has an electric plug on it.Please keep condition issues in mind when bidding.This is as complete a set that you'll find for this model and there aren't many TootsieToy slot sets for the 5150 model number. read more
