Vtg 1950s Black WICKER WEAVE HANDBAG PURSE British HONG KONG Marble LUCITE HANDLESVintage black wicker purse circa 1950s, handmade in British Hong Kong. Marbleized plastic lucite handles with gold tone handle hardware and clasp. Clasp is secure and closes well but there is a slight gap on clasp when closed, as pictured. Does not affect functionality. Note that one metal pin is missing on one side of handle, as pictured; and the hardware for the other side of the handle has a pin but is slightly loose. The handle hardware on the other side with the working handle are both secure. Bottom of purse has black leather and gold tone feet, are all secure and in great condition. Black lined interior is very clean and with one white lined slip pocket. There are six small gold tone tacks on each side of interior holding the side flaps in place. One side has all six tacks in the place; the other side has four tacks only and is missing two gold tone tacks on the top of the flap. White fabric label sewn onto exterior of interior slip pocket is embroidered with gold thread and reads, 'Made in Hong Kong'. Purse slants slightly to the side when upright, as pictured. Excellent vintage condition overall. Needs a good cleaning. Measures 10" wide x 9" tall with handle down; 12.5" high with handle; and 4.75" deep. Carefully review all photos for close-up read more
