VTG 1972 FISHER PRICE #111 LITTLE PEOPLE MERRY-GO-ROUND This is a must have item for any Fisher Price collector. It is from 1972 and is number 111, "Merry-Go-Round". The merry go round works. Decals show minor age according to wear, the back decal has some wrinkling. Minor paint wear on the bottom litho. It could use some cleaning because of some soiled areas. See photos. Merry-go-round with a masonite (wooden) base. The merry-go-round has a turquiose plastic "base" with a step on the front leading up to the merry-go-round, and a short white picket fence on the side and back. The merry-go-round itself has a round white base with 4 colored animal seats for Original Little People figures to sit in. The merry-go-round has a round white circus-tent style roof supported via 4 yellow posts. The top has a red ball in the top. The side of the base has a white plastic "ticket booth" with a paper litho picture of an old lady in a ticket window on the front. The front also has a round red turn knob that winds the swiss music box and plays "The Skater's Waltz". The top of the "ticket booth" has a permanently attached frowning boy who "turns" the merry-go-round mechanism. There is an "on/off" switch next to the box that works. Included are three vintage little people, a conductor, a baby, and a girl. The conductor is all wood, the baby and the girl are plastic. read more
