A trumpet shaped marked Sterling vase ("Sterling" is in "S" shaped mark). Engraved to "Anna Larrabee" on base (see detail). The engraved letters down the stem appear to be the initials of 2 persons with the last one of each being "L". Condition very good, one small dent near top of reverse side. The vase stands 10 inches tall and the top diameter is 3 7/8 inches while the base is 3 1/4 inches across. This vase came from Northeast Iowa, near Clermont, IA, home of the 12th governor of Iowa (1886-1890), William Larrabee. His wife and a daughter were both named Anna. This vase may be from the estate of that family. Buyer pays insured priority mail.
