Vintage Town Rossi Aluminum Pine Tray circa 1946 HTFVintage Town Rossi Aluminum Pine Tray circa 1946 HTFExtremely scarce circa 1946 vintage hand-hammered aluminum tray made by Eugene Town, using a Pine respoussé motif die engraved by Natale Rossi, before Frank Rossi joined him in the business. The die was engraved specifically for coasters, and Town used the die to embellish this tray in the four corners. The piece measures 9-1/8" by 14-1/8" (17-1/4" including the self-handles), and is marked "Hand Made Aluminum, By Town."I have several aluminum pieces from the same collector, with more to come, from an extensive collection that includes quality vintage work by Wendell August, Palmer-Smith, Town, James DePonceau, Arthur Armour, Laird, Cellini-Craft, Sheasley and many others.
