Vintage Lancaster Depression Glass Topaz or Yellow Satin Handled Dish This dish is made by Lancaster Glass Co. (1908 - 1937). This particular dish was produced c1920's. This piece is from the Lancaster Landrum line and the dish has 6 points, 3 on each side with scroll type handles that come up on two of the sides, it a solid yellow satin with no pattern. This line of glass was made during the Depression Era. It is considered Elegant Glass which is a higher grade of glass then the regular depression glass. This piece was made by Lancaster Glass from the 1920's to 1930's. Lancaster's Plant #2 is still in operation today under the auspices of the Anchor Hocking Glass Corporation in Lancaster, Ohio. In addition, the Hocking Glass Company throughout the 1940s, '50s and '60s used many of the molds that were originally made by Lancaster for some of its lines. Hocking acquired controlling interest in the Lancaster Glass Company in 1924 and eventually dissolved the Lancaster name by 1937 after completing the final purchase. However, the name Lancaster and their exquisitely-made pieces live on. MEASURES: 7 - 1/4" Diameter
