This is a vintage decorative used ceramic teapot set. The set includes a teapot with lid, a coffee pot with lid, an open sugar, a creamer, and an underplate for the teapot. (The coffee pot lid is on the open sugar in the pictures.) The pieces are all maroon in color with extensive gilt designs. The handles and spouts are all gilt, and the bodies have decorative swirled gilt lines on them. The bottoms are marked Sudlow's Burslem Made in England. There are hand painted model numbers on the bottom marked D.657.C with an E underneath it. The pieces are all in good condition with no chips or cracks. The teapot is about 5 1/2" in diameter at the widest point not including the spout or handle, and about 5" tall to the top of the lid. The coffee pot is about 4" in diameter at the widest point not including the handle, and about 6 1/2" tall. The plate is about 6" in diameter, the sugar is about 4" in diameter, and the creamer is about 3" in diameter. Please note that the pictures do not properly show the gilt coloring of the pieces. The gilt appears dark in the pictures on the top portion of the pieces, but this is based on the reflections by the gilt. If the light being reflected is dark, then the piece looks dark.
