Vintage Sterling Silver Shot Glass Holders. Shipped with USPS First Class.Scarce Pair Antique Victorian English Sterling Silver Tipplers Glass Holders Medicine Glasses Shot Glasses- Birmingham- 1895.These are demitasse sized glass holders and were most likely used as shot glasses, medicine glasses or for liqueurs. I have also seen them called tipplers at times. The glasses are removable but fit snugly into the holders. I do believe they are modern replacements. This is sterling, .925 silver with an eye-catching rococo repousse design featuring delicate but well detailed cherubs. The handles are dragons or lions??.These are attributed to Master silversmith William Comyn and were assayed in the Birmingham office. The weight of each is approximately 91.5 grams for both the glass and holder. Each piece of sterling weighs approximately 34 grams. (69grams total sterling)They're approximately 3" tall with the glass and each cup holder is just under 1.5" on its own. Both are in very good condition and show only very minor signs of wear including small surface scratches to the silver with one small break in bottom of one handle. Both pieces are hallmarked as shown in the photos. Please review all pictures.US shipping only
