This is a Used Good to Very Good Condition Vintage L. S. Starrett Co. No. 243 Firm Joint Hermaphrodite Caliper! It is 6 1/4 inches long! It was made in Athol, Mass USA! It works good & it nice and tight! It does have a name and initials electro etched on it! The initials are "P.H.S. & M.S." and the name is "Palmer Mach"! There are minor scratches on it from years of usage in the shop! This is one very useful tool for doing your layout work! I have used one like this for many years and loved it! As will you!
