For your consideration is a wonderful vintageVintage Roseville Pottery Mostique Vase 164-6** Made in Ohio, USA **DESCRIPTION:This ROSEVILLE Vase is 100% authentic original art pottery made in Ohio, USA between 1916 and 1922.Mostique is an early period line introduced by Roseville Pottery in 1916. Standard colors include gray and tan. Shapes include vases, hanging baskets, bowls, jardinières, candlesticks, etc.Mostique is characterized by impressed and hand colored American Indian motifis against a roughly textured tan or gray background. Pieces made between 1916 - 1922 are unmarked.This particular piece is a classic example of this pottery -- this piece is stunning with yellow/orange, dark blue, green in gloss finish against a background of gray.The colors are strong and vibrantNo chips, cracks, repairs - the inside green is worn off around the top 1" - very nice for a piece this oldThe bottom is incised with what I believe is 164I know this vase is 164-6 because it is shown in a photo on pg 187 of " Introducing Roseville Pottery" by Mark BassettIt is approx. 6" tall and approx. 3" wideThis vase would make a nice addition to any decorCheck out the pictures and email me with any questionsWe accept Paypal only!Thanks for looking and Good Luck Bidding!
