VINTAGE! PROMO! RARE!! PARLIAMENT Standee. Shipped with USPS Priority Mail.Parliament was formed in the late 1960s by George Clinton as part of his Parliament-Funkadelic collective. Parliament drew on science-fiction and outlandish performances in their work. The band scored a number of Top 10 hits, including the million-selling 1976 single "Give Up the Funk (Tear the Roof off the Sucker)," and Top 40 albums such as Mothership Connection (1975).Inducted into Rock And Roll Hall of Fame in 1997The band was known for psychedelic soul....a music genre that emerged in the late 1960s and saw black soul musicians embrace elements of psychedelic rock, including its production techniques, instrumentation, effects units (wah-wah pedal, phaser, etc.) and drug influences. It came to prominence in the late 1960s and continued into the 1970s, playing a major role in the development of funk.Amazing exceptionally rare collectible. Displays great.
