CS29 - 1980 " Budweiser ® Champion Clydesdales " Holiday lidded stein. This 5 " lidded stein was made in Brazil by Ceramarte. Same as the PRE -1980 CS19A-3 unlidded Holiday stein made in Brazil by Ceramarte. It describes the stein as red ring around top and bottom. Cases and barrels on the wagon. Has Saint Louis, Missouri printed in black and has the Budweiser Champion Clydesdales incised into the stein below the grass as well as Budweiser incised on the wagon. This one fits the description but comes with a pounded type lid with a ball thumbrest. With age, lids darken with a patina. Did not come boxed. The pre-1980 mugs the horses are closer together. See and go into the other variations of the pre-1980 mug. The stein is very good condition. The inside is clean as a whistle. The lid is very secure on the handle. The outside stein color itself is the result of a brown wash applied to give the ceramic color. No two steins of the 1980 or 1981 and their respective variations, are exactly alike in appearance.
