Child's flicker ring, Victor gum machine premium(stylized "V" is imprinted on sides). The ring is about 3/4" square, and has "HONG KONG" in raised letters on the ring back. The image changes from Popeye to Swee'Pea. Similar rings on eBay show Popeye/Wimpy: this is the only one I've seen with Swee'Pea.The art is clearly by Bud Sagendorf, who drew Popeye's Dell comic book starting in 1949, and took over the newspaper strip in 1958.I found this ring in a box that I know hadn't been touched since 1961.
