Up for auction is a vintage oak and brass ship or boat steering wheel. The wheel has a diameter of approx. 24" from tip to tip. I was told that it originally came from an old house boat but have no other information on it. Purchased from an elderly gentleman's estate. The wheel appears to be in very good vintage condition. On one side there are 3 copper brackets that have been added to reinforce the spaces between the oak circle (I do not know what the parts are called). The brass center has been painted a copper color but paint could easily be removed. A great nautical or maritime collectible! ! If you have any questions please ask prior to bidding.
