This is the nicest Natural Alexandrite I have ever seen. By the stone sizing chart is looks like a 10 x 8mm octo-rectangle stone to me, however I am far from being a professional, so measuring it with a tape measure it is one centimeter tall, and a few tenths of a centimeter less than that for width. It was photographed in artificial light, which gives the stone a rich reddish purple color, while in natural sunlight it is a deep green color. The setting is marked sterling silver, with a very Art Deco look to the design. I have owned it for about forty years, and it was old when I got it. It is a size seven, and is in perfect condition. The old fashioned cut of the stone gives it a multifaceted sparkle seldom seen in gemstones today.
