Vintage Old F. E. Myers Co Ashland OH Cast Iron Antique Rare Gear Head Hand Water Well Pump. Base has the date of 1888. This pump has the rare gear head rack gear handle and drive for pump rod. The rod goes out the top of the head so it could also be used with a windmill. It has the MYERS name cast on both sides of the rack head and on the cast iron base. It has been repainted. Nice old original pump. Pump has good threads for attaching more sucker rod. Handle and pump rod gears moves up and down ok. It has 1 1/2" pipe with good threads for mounting more pipe to the bottom. The head has a chip along the ring where the pump rod goes in. Only cosmetic does not affect it working ok. No other cracks welds or repairs. The Pump is 49 inches tall to the top of pump head and has a 35 inch handle. Pump will be dissembled for shipping. This pump will make a great yard art decoration or will pump water with the addition of a pump cylinder more pipe and sucker rod. You are bidding on the pump only as shown in the photos.
