Vintage charm of a first aid bag or case with an enameled red cross on both sides. Bag opens to 4 rows of medicine vials inside. The vials are enameled in brown, yellow, pink and white. The enamel is in very good condition, with a bit of crazing on the pink. The hinge is tight, the latch closes with a reassuring snap; charm will not fall open when worn. One side is lightly marked STG JMF (J M Fisher Company). Charm was rhodium plated to prevent tarnishing, there is some wear to the finish from rubbing against other charms on a bracelet. Charm measures approximately 9/16 inch long including the handle, 1/2 inch wide, and weighs 2.5 grams. Shown with a dime and quarter for size reference.The charms we have listed are vintage, with age appropriate wear, patina and character.
