This FABULOUSVINTAGE WESTERN STONEWAREMONMOUTH POTTERY BLUE/GRAY SPONGEWARE OR SPATTERWARE PITCHER AND BOWL SET features the WESTERN STONEWARE/MAPLE LEAF backstamp on the bowlwith USA impressed on the bottom of both the bowl and pitcher. "Monmouth Pottery Company in Monmouth, Illinois, opened in 1892and made a variety of utilitarian wares. It became part of Western Stoneware Company in 1906. The maple leaf mark was used until 1930." The pitcher measures approximately 8" tall, 5" across and 7 1/4" from handle to spoutand the matching bowl is 12 1/4" across and 3 1/4" from table to rim.Both are in EXCELLENT VINTAGE CONDITION with no chips, cracks, crazing or other flaws that I can find!
