Offered here is a great original aluminum JAX Beer ice chest made by Cronstroms. This cooler is in used condition and shows signs of use but presents well for its age. The cons: -the rubber seal in the lid is degrading and some of the black adhesive has melted along the opening in small spots. It could be cleaned but I have left it as found-the lid has an indention that I could not get on photo. Likely where someone sat on it over the years.-the drain needs a new seal as it leaks slowly if it's full of water.-the lid hinges are operable but look to have mismatched screws.-there are small dents, scuffs and scrapes throughout the body.Now for the pros:-for a cooler 50 or 60 years old the overall condition is very nice. No serious rust or punctures and even the bottom is solid.-the JAX logos on both sides show wear but are both still crisp and look great in my opinion.-this would be great as is for a display or a perfect restoration candidate.This will be perfect as an addition to your collection or a great gift as well.
