This vintage Japanese music jewelry box is made of laquered wood and is in poor condition. It stands on two supports under the hand-painted cabinet and measures 10.75" x 5" x 9". Double doors open to reveal mirrors behind each door, four jewelry drawers, and a mirrored area to place trinkets. The top three drawers open smoothly and the bottom drawer opens part-way with effort. The interior dimensions of the drawers are 4.25" x 3.25" x 1.25". The music mechanism plays occasionally when the crank under the cabinet is turned. Exterior flaws are evident in close-up photos (worn laquer, peeled paint on front right cabinet door, and crack on cabinet doors). This is an estate sale find and is sold as is.
