This measures 3 1/8" long by 2 1/8" tall and weighs 2.3 ounces or 65.2 grams. Previously owned by well taken care of. No dings or dents, some light wear that can be polished out. The verso is etched "D. Coats" over "Taos, New Mexico". You can google his name and find many other buckles produced by this Hopi artisan. I am not sure if this is sterling, Mexican silver or an alloy since it is not marked so. All of the items I have researched have been silver, but since this is not marked, I am not claiming it to be so.
