Nice sturdy little work box measuring 9" long x 3.5" deep x 5.5" wide. Of woven construction. I think this belonged to my Grandmother and she died in the 1950's so it is fairly old. The only damage I can see is where one corner of the lid (which is not hinged) has been carefully mended with string at some point. Inside is a selection of wooden cotton reels complete with a nice amount of sewing cotton still on them and some cards of mending cottons. Nice vintage lot.
