This comes from a collection of over 50 Grateful Dead t-shirts from a Colorado fan and collector who moved out of the country. This is the real deal, NOT a reproduction. The shirt is bright blue with a red and yellow circle on the front. Written on thecircle is "Grateful Dead Santa Fe 1983" which refers to concerts on September 10 and 11 at Santa Fe Downs. The iconography of the Dead is well represented inside the circle. The skeleton appears as a Hopi clown kachina, wearing the black and white double spired headdress and other Native American adornment. The skeleton carries lightning bolts in one hand and roses in the other. Under the circle, on the right, the shirt reads "c 1983 D. Larkin / G.D.P." Dennis Larkin designed posters and other things for the Grateful Dead as well as other music groups in the 1980s.The shirt is double stitched, heavy cotton, 23 1/2" across, 28" shoulder to hem. This shirt maintains it's great New Mexico sky bluecolor, no fading. It is clean, not holes or stains. Great condition for it's age. A true Dead artifact.
