Presenting this very fine example of a vintage Gibson Teapot. This teapot has a fantastic design full of artistic beauty. The teapot measures 9 inches wide from handle to spout by 5 inches tall to top of the lid. The capacity is 3 cups. The teapot has an interesting design; the bottom half has a leopard mottled brown pattern with dark spots over a light brown, the base color of the teapot is a chocolate brown which is evident on the bottom and the upper hemisphere. The half features raised white overlays of what looks like scenes from Greek mythology and gives the appearance of something like jasperware pottery. The upper half is also hand painted with shiny gold to give the appearance of trees/foliage in-between and above the white figures. The spout, handle, upper outer rim and lid are all fully covered in a shiny gold. The bottom features an old Gibson logo, Staffordshire England. In excellent condition. Thanks for looking!
