Available now from a recent estate is this gorgeous stoneware vintage 14-piece set of GERZ handarbeit punch bowl and 12 matching cups or steins , featuring famous CASTLES on the Rhine River. There are NO chips, cracks, repairs or hairlines on this NEAR MINT set--there are a couple of instances where cobalt blue strays on the cups, that are factory in origin. Handarbeit is a term that means "hand painted". All pieces have MADE IN GERMANY engraved on the bases; some are more worn off than others which remain crisp and clear. Also, on the base of the tureen is engraved "3361."The tureen/punch bowl stands 11-3/4" high with the lid in place. The castle scenes are in bas relief, giving incredible texture and richness to this pattern. Interspersed between castle scenes are clusters of grapes and vine foliage.Please use the Zoom feature and view all photos prior to bidding, as they are an important part of this description.Set will be carefully shipped via USPS or FedEx (no PO Boxes), and fully insured.
