Hello, and thank you for viewing my listing for a really fun, vintage, slag glass item. This standing rooster, covered-dish/ bowl (mold# 869) was made by Kanawha Glass Co. of West Virginia. Kanawha did not mark their pieces in the glass, they used sticker tags, which this one is missing. Kanawha Glass was the only manufacturer that had their rooster standing on a log, as we have here. This flame-orange, red and white, slag glass color was called 'Mardi Gras' by the company, and this rooster was apparently produced for a limited time, mostly in 1971. The condition of this pressed-glass item is very good/used, with no chips or cracks. There is a small production flaw, where a bubble in the glass popped and left a tiny pocket in the surface of the rooster's back. Please check out my photos for details. The rooster measures at 9,3/4" Tall, 7" Long and 4,3/4" Wide. The base is 3,1/2" in diameter.
