Vintage Circa 1960s Motion Lamp with Flashing Lights Groovy Flower Power LoveDescription This is a circa 1960s motion-style light. The lamp operates by flashing colored lights in succession, illuminating different portions of the cone in order to show the words and designs. Based on the imagery, I'd date this to the 1960s - 1970s. You've got your peace signs, gender signs, flowers and hearts, curvy lady, stars and such. Then there are the words: Groovy, Love, Pucker Up, Flower Power, etc. Sort of fun, sort of trippy, just like the era from whence it came. A black plastic ring supports a metal post onto which the lights are mounted. The cone sits on the ring. The lamp stands about 11.5" tall and is 6" in diameter.Condition This item is in Good Condition . There are no tears or repairs on the cone, and the lamp operates as expected. There is overall rust on the metal post, but it lives inside of the lamp, so it doesn't detract from the aesthetic appeal. One of the light sockets is held on to the post by wire, rather than its original clip. There is a bit of wear to the bottom of the cone.
