Vintage Captain Marvel Comic Club Shazam Pinback Pin Vintage 1941 Captain Marvel Club Shazam Pin features a red, white, and blue litho of Captain Marvel with the words "Captain Marvel Club" in blue and "Shazam" in red. Has attached single pin on back. Measures 1". Captain Marvel was introduced in February 1940 in Whiz comic books. An orphan named Billy Batson met the wizard, Shazam, and whenever he said the magic word he was transformed into a superhero. A movie serial was released in 1940. The comic was discontinued in 1954. A second Captain Marvel appeared in 1966, a third in 1967. Only the original was transformed by shouting Shazam. Item shows some age with some color loss around outer rim and a few rust marks on back. Image of Captain Marvel still nice and colorful. Sold as-is. Please see pictures and email with any questions .
