IT HAS A COPPER SURROUND WHICH HAS BEEN ALTERED AT SOME PERIOD OF TIME, AS THERE ARE TWO OR THREE SOLDER MARKS AT THE BACK AND THE PIN HAS BEEN REPLACED. - IT IS STILL A VERY ATTRACTIVE BROOCH AND WOULD MAKE A BEAUTIFUL DECORATIVE BROOCH FASTENING ON A SHAWL OR PASHMINA
