Vintage California Faience Vase This vase by California Faience (Berkeley) stands 3 3/4" tall. Executed in a simple form, and glazed in a rich turquoise blue gloss over red clay, this piece is circa 1920-1925. The vase is in perfect condition: free of any chips, cracks, or repairs. There is a small dark spot within the glaze, as well as a minute bump on the surface which appears to be a glaze "pop" that didn't make it all the way to the surface to pop; I consider such minor flaws to be inherent in the process of pottery making, but want to mention them. The vase came from the estate of a collector who applied felt pads to the underside, which may be removed at your discretion. Hand-incised on the bottom: California Faience. A lovely piece of Arts and Crafts Era pottery! 222
