So all you need to do is plug it in to any analog wall jack. We have Comcast VOIP here and it works fine. It rings the nice real bells and you can pickup and talk. However, it won't dial out unless you have rotary service enabled. Most modern day system have eliminated rotary with touch tones. So you can do everything but dial out in most cases.
