Vintage Art Deco Gladstone China G.P. & Co. Green & Gold Geometric Sunset Tea Cup & Saucer C.1924-1940 Great Art Deco look with a sharp Geometric Sunset Pattern in gold and greens. Excellent condition - no chips, cracks, breaks, or repairs. There is some discoloration on the bottom of the cup. See last image. Cup measures 3" high and 4 1/2" long with the handle. Saucers measure 3 1/2" in diameter. Gladstone China - Made in England. G.P & Co. - George Proctor & Company. This printed mark was used between Circa 1924-1940. The L Stands for Longton where the factory was. George Proctor & Co Ltd Manufacturers of bone china tablewares at Longton c.1891-64 Works operated here pre 1891 - it was in March 1960 that the ovens last fired; but decorating and then only despatch departments were active until May 1970 GEORGE PROCTER & CO (LTD), Gladstone Pottery, High Street, Longton. 1891 - 1940.
