DESCRIPTION:UP FOR ADOPTION here is an 14" tall composition black top knot character baby doll. Unmarked as many were reference shows similar dolls made in the 1930s by Amberg, Effanbee & others. I do not know the maker or past history but will try to describe the best I can with any flaws. Doll is jointed at the shoulders and legs with all fingers and toes, there is "paint" wear throughout and scuffs, nothing terrible. She has an "adorable" little face with painted brown eyes, she has single stroke black brows and closed molded mouth. There is a faint little dimple in each cheek. Molded painted black curly hair shows minor wear, she has "top knot" hair style, that is three holes in the head where yarn hair is pulled through. Yellow dress is charming with only safety pin closure down the back, she wears undies and white shoes. Great little character face will have you "smiling" every time you walk by her!
