VINTAGE 50s HARRIS TWEED 3 BUTTON MOD INDIE TRADITIONAL HERITAGE COUNTRY SCOTTISH WOOL JACKET -- TO FIT 42" Chest -- - Worn - please read condition carefully before bidding! - Handsome Harris Label tweed jacket dating from the 1950s, featuring three pockets at the waist and one chest pocket. Secured at the front with three buttons while a single button finishes each cuff. Two 6.5 vents at the back. Fully lined with an additional inner pocket. As you can see from the photographs, it looks wonderful worn with a crisp white shirt, a cravat and a waistcoat for a Traditional Tailored Gentleman look . Add a flat cap and Hunter Wellington boots for a ensemble that's ideal for any Country pursuits! You'll feel like the Lord of the Manor! It also looks amazing worn with slim leg trousers and chelsea boots for a cool 60s Retro Mod Indie look! Or why not wear it with skinny jeans, a leather satchel and thick-brimmed glasses for a contemporary Preppy Art School Geek Chic look! Looking Nerdy has never been cooler! MEASUREMENTS: CHEST 44" (To fit chest size 42", in my estimation) WAIST 40" LENGTH 29" SLEEVE LENGTH 27.5" SHOULDER SEAM TO SHOULDER SEAM 18" The jacket is not labelled with a size but would appear to suit a size 42" chest depending on the desired fit and garments worn underneath; however, please refer to the measurements. The measurements stated above are of the actual item and to allow for movement etc, your own measurements should ideally be somewhat smaller. For the best fit compare the measurements with a similar garment that suits you well, and please refer to the measurements. CONDITION The jacket is in good vintage condition with a worn look. The original buttons appear to have been replaced and the button holes are quite frayed (see photo 7). The chest pocket is beginning to fray at one corner. The inside lining is particularly worn, with holes (see photos 8-9) and marks underneath both arms (see photos 10-11). Additionally, there are holes/tears in the lining along the sleeve cuffs. The inside collar is quite grubby (see photo 12). Please note that the price of the garment has been adjusted to reflect these faults. The jacket will need cleaned to freshen it up again as it has been stored away for a long time. PLEASE NOTE THAT THE SALE IS FOR THE JACKET ONLY AND DOES NOT INCLUDE THE SHIRT, TIE OR WAISTCOAT.
