This is a beautiful vintage yellow nine patch quilt. It was probably made in the 1970's by someone with very good quilting skills. The quilt is 74" X 85" and photographed on a queen mattress. The nine patch is made up of 1 7/8" squares with the finished square measuring 5 3/4". There are 42 nine patch squares and 56 solid yellow squares. The solid yellow and solid white fabric look like they are a cotton blend but most of the prints look like cotton but a couple are probably blends. The batting feels like a good quality low loft polyester. The quilting is all done by hand with an average of 8 to 9 stitches per inch. The stitches are nice and even. It looks like the blocks are sewn with hand stitches also but the stitches are small so it is difficult to tell but the blocks are very precise. The quilt binding is narrow, doubled and is finished with hand stitches. This quilt is in found but very good vintage condition. Light pencil lines for quilting are still present. There are no spots or holes. The quilt stitches all look to be intact. The quilt looks like it was used very little, I see no wear. This is a very nice quilt to add to a collection or to use. Shipping weight is 4+ pounds.
