Here is a very cool and rare piece of early television game show memorabilia from 1960. The first part is a small pamphlet that was given to contestants from NBC on how to dress for color television broadcast. Next is a ticket to appear on "The Price is Right" which was hosted by Bill Cullen. This was actually the precursor to the Price is Right game show of today that is best known by Bob Barker and Drew Carey. The ticket states that the show was taped at Colonial Theatre, 1887 Broadway in New York City. The telephone number was circle 7-8300 extension 3921, signed by Don Scott. One the back of the ticket it says "$1712" I presume this is the amount that was won on the show in either cash or prizes. There is also a typed paper "to all contestants on the Price is Right" about arrangements for prizes taken care of by Richard G. Robbins Co. 163 Bleeker St. New York. It gives the address of Don Scott of Marbil Productions Inc. in case of any issues with damaged or mis-stated prizes, and advises against cash settlements. Along with these items is a handwritten letter dated November 22, 1960 from Mr. & Mrs. Muriel & Arthur Shefrin of Brooklyn, congratulating them for being contestants and appearing on television.
