This is a beautiful Sterling Silver brooch designed by G. Cini. This Leo the lion pin was from his Zodiac series which was created in the 1950's. The pin is hallmarked Sterling by Cini on reverse side (see photos). Cini came to the United States as an immigrant from Italy and was only 17 when he started his company in Boston. His pieces are very high quality and caught attention of many Hollywood stars. He eventually moved his business to California and continued his work through the 70s until he passed. This piece is in excellent condition. The original patina has been left on to be polished off by you if you choose to do so. Size is approximately 1.9" x 2".
