This is a beautiful triple pedestal Duncan Phyfe Mahogony drop-leaf table. It has 3 leaves making the total length 93". The length of the table without the leaves is 59". Both ends drop down to give more floor space if needed. This table is so unique, you pull the table out to the fullest length by holding the leaf up on each end and dragging the leg toward you. I have never seen woodcrafting of this nature. The table was made in Kentucky by the Jefferson Woodworking Co. The leaves are not perfect because they have never been used and were stored in a laundry room with some moisture in the room. The ends of the leaves that rested on the floor need to be restained. My husband says he can touch them up so that they will appear in the original condition. T is a scratch on one leaf that he thinks he can fix. The chairs are upholstered in needlepoint done by the owner. T are two green, two burgandy and two gold. The gold looks chartreuse in the picture but the color is what I call coin gold, beautiful. The needlepoint is done with great skill as is the upholstery. The chairs are very big and very sturdy. T is a china cabinet that matches this set on another auction.
