This vintage, hard to find wind-up toy features celluloid figures of Mickey and Minnie Mouse that spin around on the metal trapeze when it is wound up. The toy measures about 15 inches tall from the ground to the tip of the counterbalance ball at the top. The 2 celluloid figures are about 5 1/4 inches tall. This toy dates to the 1930's...note the "pie-eyed" Mickey and Minnie from that time period. Minnie has an old, fancy paper sticker on her that reads: "Made in Japan Inspection Passed" and then maybe "TCTMA"?...hard to read. Mickey is embossed on his right side "Made in Japan". Condition: The wind-up mechanism works well. Wind it up and Mickey and Minnie spin on the trapeze for a long time. Mickey's foot hits the ground slightly when he swings. Mickey and MInnie are both missing a leg. The legs they have are cracked around the hole where the metal bar goes through. Mickey has a squish mark on his left hip where the missing leg should be. Minnie's nose is squished up towards her face but not cracked. Also, her left arm is bent which makes her hang a little crooked and not swing quite as freely as Mickey. The black color on Mickey's forehead is faded. It's still a really uncommon toy that looks great and works well. Please view all of my photos for an accurate presentation of the condition.Feel free to ask any questions before bidding. read more
